It might have been rainy and cold outside, but the courts were on fire at the Xcel Center in Minneapolis on Saturday when teams competed at the NDL Tour stop. Teams from all across the mid-west competed for a chance to win a free entry into the 2007 Dodgeball World Championship. The competition was tough right at the start, while the teams battled through the round robin play. Going into the bracketed tournament, White Boys and Team Bethel Three were on top.

Team White Boys didn't miss a beat while competing in the tournament. They continued through the Open bracket undefeated to become the next champions and walked away with the free entry in the Open division in Vegas.

The Coed bracket had a different ending. With Team Bethel Three in the leading position, they were quickly beat out by their own college friends from Team Bethel One. But the challenge came right back to Bethel One when they had to take on the Tsunamis. It was a tough match, but in the end, Bethel One sent the Tsunamis into the losers bracket. Not willing to give up, the Tsunamis fought their way back to the finals.

In the finals, the Tsunamis came with full force to beat Team Bethel One. At then end of the day, both teams were offered the free entry to Vegas and bragging rights for the weekend.

The four final teams were able to play an exhibition game at the halftime of the Swarm game in front of more than 5000 fans. The teams all agreed that it was an experience of a lifetime, and are looking forward to it again next year.
